A Few FAQs

Do I need to run a craft group to join?
Not at all. Makers is for anyone who crafts, whether you belong to a local group, lead one, or create on your own. Everyone is welcome.

Is this meant to replace in-person crafting?
No. In-person, hands-on making is at the heart of what we love. Makers is designed to complement that experience - a place where creativity continues between meetups and connections can grow beyond your local circle.

What happens inside Makers?
Members connect with other crafters, share what they’re working on, participate in digital crafting workshops, and explore ideas, templates, how-to's and resources together. It’s a supportive, encouraging space where process matters.

Can members host workshops or share their own skills?
Yes. Some members choose to host workshops, share projects, or facilitate small groups. Others simply participate and create at their own pace. There’s no expectation to lead or sell anything.

Is this community just for digital crafting?
No. Makers welcomes all kinds of makers. Digital tools are used to support creativity, not replace hands-on crafting. Paper, paint, glue, fabric, scissors - it all belongs here.

What makes Makers different from social media or other craft communities?
Makers is designed for people who want to make things.

You can still share what you’re working on, post videos, and show experiments, just like you would on social media. But here, everything lives in one place: your projects, your ideas, your resources, and your conversations.

Through digital crafting workshops, we also focus on the behind-the-scenes skills that support creativity over time - organizing files, saving work in ways that make sense, and setting projects up so they’re easy to return to when inspiration comes back.

The result is something bigger than any single project.

You’re not just making books, pages, or designs. You’re building flexible skills that shape how you use a computer overall - for creative work, planning events, organizing ideas, and exploring new projects without starting from scratch every time.

What IS digital crafting?
Digital crafting is making craft-style art using digital tools.

Think collage, junk journal pages, bookmaking layouts, quilt-inspired designs, tags, stickers, ephemera, paper textures, and printable pages - created on a computer or tablet. You still use a crafter’s eye: layers, texture, composition, color, and story, just in a digital workspace.

We also include the behind-the-scenes support that helps creative projects stay accessible over time - saving files, organizing pieces, and building simple project workflows that make it easier to revisit ideas when you’re ready.

How much does it cost to join?
Membership is $15 per month. You can join, explore, and decide if it’s a good fit for you.
